MBps vs Mbps Explanation. Hello Guys, In this article you will see the main difference between MBps and Mbps. There are big difference between MBps and Mbps. When we go to buy an Internet plan, the main thing comes in our mind is Internet speed, and we will go for a good speed  pla n. Explanation:- We see the speed in mbps there, like 16Mbps, 20Mbps. And when we purchase a package, then the downloading speed is like 2MBps. There are no fault of operator.  Mbps  means  megabits per second . Mb is used in reference to  download and upload   speeds . MBps means megabytes per second. 1 byte = 8 bits   If they show 20 Mbps then our downloading will  20/8 = 2.5 MBps.
